Area 405, located in Baltimore’s Station North Arts District, is a vibrant and creative mixed-use commercial space that houses 32 artist studios, the Station North Tool Library, Plied Yarns, and The Gallery @ AREA 405. Motor House is located at 20 W. North Ave and has newly renovated artist studios on the second floor with elevator and stair access. Open Works, located at 1400 Greenmount Ave, has micro-studios that are 7’x7′ (49 S.F.) modular plywood cubes with built-in workbenches. With an Open Works resident membership, you get one micro-studio and access to facilities and tools. Learn more about membership here.


Oliver Street Studios located at 401. E. Oliver St. contains over 20 newly created artist studios up to fire code with slop sinks, heating, new lighting, outside courtyard, loading dock, but no elevator. Call 443-869-6737 or email info@remingtonprops.com for up to date info on studio availability. 


The Cork Factory at 302 Federal St. was established in 1997 when a collective of artists bought it for $200,000. The artists who collectively purchased the building have developed their own guidelines for maintenance of communal spaces, the buying and selling of individual spaces within the building, and studio rentals.


Night Owl Gallery is located at 1735 Maryland Avenue above the Royal Blue. Through their unique investment into the next generation of visual artists, Night Owl Gallery helps individual artists to develop important business skills, professional experiences, and visibility to support and sustain their art career. K-Town Studios is located at 100 22nd Street and houses Velocipede Bike Project on the ground floor and five artist studios above. These affordable studios range from 100 - 300 square feet in size accessible via 42” wide open stairwell. For availability, contact Gabriel at kroizarch@gmail.com.
