Art Walk Interviews with NFAT

To celebrate the Art Walk of 2022, we collaborated with MICA Thought Grad Club (NFAT Media) to highlight different venues each month.

About NFAT

NFAT is an art interview channel produced by MICA Art & Thought Club. It explores art and thoughts behind creating art, as well as lives/careers around art practice through various interview projects. NFAT is collaborating with Station North to interview the beloved art space of Baltimore: AREA 405.

If you are interested in learning more about them, please visit their Instagram or YouTube channel.

About AREA 405

Once built as a brewery, this historical building was purchased and run by artists as an artist studio and exhibition space since 2002. Its industrial character has brought a unique exhibiting environment to the Baltimore art scene.

When this beloved building went on the market in 2021, Central Baltimore Partnership (CBP) and Ernst Valerie jointly acquired the building to preserve the affordability of this legendary artist space in 2022 (Station North Arts District is a program of CBP). Currently, 30+ artists work in this 170-year-old industrial warehouse.
