YNOT LOT CURATOR GRANT
Station North Arts and Entertainment Inc. (SNAE) is seeking proposals for art-based events that will activate the Ynot Lot during Fall 2019. Five events selected by SNAE will receive a grant of $500.00 each to help with production costs.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. All events at the Ynot Lot require valid Temporary Special Event Permit from Baltimore City, which can take up to one month to process.
SNAE will choose five (5) projects from the submissions received. Each of the five winners or team of winners will receive $150, with the remaining balance of $350 to be delivered after the completion of their event.
$500.00 USD shall be inclusive of all costs associated with the project, including, but not limited to, supplies, printing costs, equipment rental, cost of required permits, and any associated payments.
This grant is open to artists 18 years of age and older, teams of artists and organizations.
Artist teams and organizations may apply and must designate one artist as the lead contact.

Must deliver a high quality, exciting art-centered experience.
Must be open to the public and encourage a sense of community.
Must support the goals and mission of the Station North Arts and Entertainment District.
Subject matter may NOT include material that may be considered racist, misogynist or otherwise offensive and exclusionary.
SELECTION PROCESS & CRITERIA
Projects will be evaluated by the following criteria:
Artistic excellence and originality.
Demonstrated ability to plan and execute the proposed event.
Demonstrated ability to adhere to a project timeline and budget.
Relevance to the Baltimore community.
Ability to market your event and attract an audience.
AWARDEE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Obtaining all necessary city permits for their event
Obtaining all necessary supplies, equipment and personnel
Signing and adhering to SNAE’s Code of Conduct Agreement
Producing any desired marketing material for their event
SNAE can help obtain permits in a timely fashion, disseminate promotional material, and provide advice and guidance for using the Lot.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.
Please submit your application at least one month prior to your proposed date for your event. Keep in mind that most event permit applications can take up to a month to process.
