Gallery CA
440 E. Oliver st
Pillars of Foundation & All Other Grounds

Pillars of Foundation and All Other Grounds is Cheyanne Zadia's first solo exhibition, an interdisciplinary body of work spanning painting, photography, sculpture, and film. Drawing on her upbringing between the Black church and the streets of West Baltimore, Zadia constructs a visual sermon, treating image and footage the way scripture has long been treated by those with something to say. Surrounded by sourced books and records that informed its making, the exhibition sits with questions of identity, community, judgment, and what it means to be seen without being understood.

Atrium Artspace

Waste Of Time

Waste Of Time is a joint exhibition by Maurice Scarlett III (MS3) and Jujuan Allen (Juste Unknown) exploring the spirit of adolescence and everything that grew from it. From playing video games and watching music videos to getting fly, these moments — often dismissed by parents as a “waste of time” — became the foundation of our imagination and creativity.

MICA Lazarus Center

Grad show IV

The Class of 2026 will present their thesis work in MICA Grad Show IV, representing the culmination of four years of study in the Low-Residency MFA program. Coelina Edward's work centers on Blackness and its vibrant, creative, and resistant way of life and social organization, with assemblage, collages, films, garments and soft sculpture. Dana W. Richardson's work uses "The Epic of Gilgamesh" as a framework for exploring walking, searching, and the transmission of knowledge across time. Blanquita Sullivan's large-scale painting installation examine how landscapes, objects, people, and the built environment become repositories of memory and magic, allowing the past to remain active within the present. Asma Waheed's work emerges from living in the diaspora, with ceramic forms grounded in domestic life, as well as inspired by Mughal architecture, Islamic geometric systems, biomorphic growth, jail screens, and courtyard fountains, creating sites of reflection, protection, and inward expansion.

Co-Lab Books
2209 Maryland Avenue
Green Plastic Tunnels: Pedestrian Topography

Small scale landscapes and structural arrangements are synthesized from commonplace objects, including elementary art room detritus and utilitarian substances. Incidental miscasts are often re-cast in multiples in an attempt to capture and repeat desired forms. Elements of play and composite experiences of childhood are visible through humanoid figures as well as imagined and realized architecture. Non-articulated figures are rendered for molding and resin casting by former Kenner Toys employee Stephen Geddes.
