ATRIUM ARTSPACE

2029 Maryland Avenue
EXHIBITION: Heart of Stone
Atrium Artspace is proud to present Heart of Stone, a group exhibition of hand-carved stone sculptures by Alan Rhody, Steve Goldberg, and Earl Elliott, members of the Himes Group. Trained under the late John Himes, a respected Baltimore County sculptor, this group of stone carvers are proud to honor his work as an educator and artist by exhibiting a selection of high-quality contemporary fine artworks handcrafted from marble, alabaster, limestone, and soapstone. These contemporary artists use ancient techniques and traditional tools (hammer, chisels, files, and polishers) to shape and finish raw blocks of stone. Over the past decade, the group has exhibited their works at many art galleries and craftsmanship shows throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. The exhibition is on view from January 24 - March 1, 2026.

BMORE ART: CONNECT + COLLECT

2519 N. Charles Street
EXHIBITION: Idiosyncratic Iconoclasts, Richard Cleaver and Cindy Cheng

This show brings together Richard Cleaver and Cindy Cheng, two artists who share a wild imagination and a remarkable attention to detail. Both artists explore a precarious line between the sacred and the profane, subverting the visual language of sanctified relics and precious gems, in order to conjure up bizarre and beautiful planes of reality.

Cleaver’s jewel encrusted ceramic sculptures and paintings function like tiny worlds: full of intricate detail, hidden elements, and allegorical human figures. Cheng’s work, encompassing sculpture and wearable art, carries a profound curiosity and playful challenges to the status quo through ceramics, metal, gemstones, and experimental materials.

EGATNIV

16 W North Ave
EXHIBITION: Slippy Authorship! curated by Rui Jiang

This exhibition, Slippy Authorship! that's gonna happen at Egatniv vintage store, does not seek to resolve the question of whether the author is dead, but instead places this proposition within a perpetually shifting field.

Authorship is continually deconstructed, transferred, and re-signified throughout the creative process and the historical continuity of clothing wear. Curated by Rui Jiang
