‘ART WALK WITH’ Ernest Shaw
5:30 pm gather at Motor House, 6:00 pm tour
Join us at 5:30pm, this Friday, September 11, at Motor House for the Art Walk With Baltimore-based artist, Ernest Shaw! As a native of West Baltimore, artist Ernest Shaw has developed a profound understanding of perseverance, community, and integrity.
An alumnus of Baltimore City Public Schools, Baltimore School for the Arts, Morgan State University, and Howard University, Shaw emphasizes using his skills and talents for the collective good rather than for mere self-promotion.
For Ernest, teaching is another artistic medium. With over twenty years of experience as both an artist and educator, he currently teaches at the Maryland Institute College of Art and Johns Hopkins University while pursuing a doctoral degree in philosophy, art theory, and aesthetics/metaphysics at the Institute for Doctoral Studies in the Visual Arts.
Together with Ernest, you will visit a variety of galleries, venues, and public art installations throughout the area. The tour will highlight some of the thrilling, no-cost events taking place during September's Art Walk! Gather at Motor House at 5:30 pm to join the tour!

Piedmont Automata
Join us on Friday, September 11th at the bridge for the opening of Piedmont Automata, the bridge’s first-ever exhibition featuring work by Bella Bailey.
Featuring 16 pieces made entirely from objects found near Baltimore’s Jones Falls River, as well as the city’s main source of drinking water, the Loch Raven reservoir, Piedmont Automata exposes the relationship between the industrial and ecological landscapes of Baltimore City. The use of organic and artificial materials, such as insects and camera lenses, invites the viewer into curious and intimate interactions with the objects that make up the Baltimorean landscape.

Beyond the Shadow of the Doubt
Sean Dackermann presents Beyond The Shadow Of Doubt, a solo retrospective exhibition covering 20 years of photography. The exhibition contains explorations of light and motion, images that capture the essence of artists, and celebrations of hip-hop. On September 11, during the Station North Art Walk, Dackermann will preview artworks featured in three upcoming books: A Moment's Notice Vol. 2, New Golden, and Finding Light. Beyond The Shadow Of Doubt is on view at Atrium Artspace through September 26.
